White house, US Senate,US 50 States Make a DO NOT ADOPT LIST
The Issue
SAAAN is in the process of finding co-sponsors for an “DO NOT ADDPOT LISTING” similar to the State’s “DO NOT ADDPOT LISTING ” but dealing with animal abusers. SAAAN would like this legislation to be introduced during next year’s Legislative Session in Maryland. SAAAN’s plan is to advocate for the Animal Offender Registry in the Maryland State House and Senate. We need an Animal Offender Registry in Maryland! DNA LISTING DO NOT ADDPOT but there is no DNA LISTING DO NOT ADDPOT . wouldn’t be able to adopt or have any pets in their homes. Maryland animal shelters and organizations that offer animals for adoption would be required to do a background check on any individual wishing to adopt an animal. These organizations would be required to check theDNA LISTING DO NOT ADDPOT in addition to the background checks that they currently use. Checks may also be done on household members. The Animal Offender Registry would also be a valuable tool for landlords to make sure that renters with pets are responsible and do not have a history of abusing animals. Those on the Registry would have to pay a fee every year to keep it up to date.SAAAN would like to have some say on the legislation and would like to help manage the Registry. If the legislation passes, SAAAN would like to receive credit from the State. It would be nice if SAAAN were to be recognized as the organization that originally proposed the legislation.
SAAAN is working with State Wide, Senators or Representatives would like to sponsor this bill, please contact me so we can talk and meet about this matter. I believe that this should be law in Maryland! Even those we trust to protect us could be animal abusers! There is case in Anne Arundel County
We Are hoping that all 50 states gose with this
our offical facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/OfficialSAAAN
where a County Police Officer has been charged with animal abuse. For more info go to this link: http://washington.cbslocal.com/2013/01/18/md-police-officer-wife-accused-of-animal-cruelty/
