The Issue

Good day.

As Salties Unmasked (salties_unmasked on Instagram), we would like to express our sympathy and condolences to Manchadi Pinky Lesego Peka on the loss of her son Koane Peka, who was officially declared dead after a cryptic phone call from  her baby daddy and also records from Home Affairs declaring Koane deceased due to unnatural causes; dated on October 23, 2024.

The goal of this petition and possible letter is to reach as many women as possible who are in the same or similar situation/s, and eventually to reach someone, an entity, or a high-profile lawyer, so that she can get the justice she deserves and hold her baby daddy Oberan Sungulani Matsuvuki and those involved accountable for their actions in this matter.

Given the stature of her baby daddy, Oberan Sungulani Matsuvuki, also known as Ndhuna, it is shocking and devastating that someone of his calibre could be involved in such a devastating and dubious situation, which has also left many people inconsolable and with a lot of questions.

According to stories shared by Lesego (instagram name @lesegopase); her son Koane Peka was confirmed buried on the 25 October 2024 just before 16:00. Police arrived at the cemetery only to find that Oberon Sungulani Matsuvuki popularly known as Ndhuna short for Ndhuna Civil Engineering a company owned by him; had already buried their child, Koane Peka even after being notified of a court interdict being granted to him on the day.

All of this comes after Lesego exposed Ndhuna on Saturday 19 October 2024; for sexually assaulting their son Koane and Lesego and also making claims of child neglect. From stories posted by Lesego; she confesses that Ndhuna has been making threats to k!ll Koane beginning of this year, January, with emails attached on her Instagram stories confirming this.

Their Son was temporarily staying with Ndhuna under orders 5.1 to 7 on an order made on the 9 May 2024 filed by applicant Oberon Sungulani Matsuvuki and respondent Manchadi Pinky Lesego Peka stating that Lesego will have contact to Koane under the following:

5.1 Supervised contact at the applicant's place of residence every alternate Saturday and Sunday from 10h00 to 19h00;

5.2 Any other supervised contact at a reasonable time and with prior arrangement between the parties in writing;

5.3 Telephonic contact daily from 17h00 to 17h30;

5.4 The respondent is hereby interdicted from attending the applicants premises (address provided); and

5.5 The owners and/or employees of the (address provided) is authorized to deny the respondent access to the premises and refuse the respondent from removing the minor child from its premises.

6. That the Family Advocate be requested to urgently conduct an investigation and report back to the above Court in respect of a recommendation in respect of the best interests of the minor child in respect of the primary care and residence of the minor child.

7. The parties be granted leave to supplement their papers and amend the relief sought in this application, after a report of the Family Advocate is made available and/or alternatively the respondent opposing this application

This was temporal custody while the family advocate investigate where Lesego stays and if it’s a conducive enough environment for her late Son to stay in. The only reason why Ndhuna got such a court order was because He kicked Lesego out of his house and thereafter made an urgent application which was then granted in 2023.

There have been many incidents of abuse, where Ndhuna would threaten & cause physical harm to Lesego & the late baby Koane. As a a result; through everything Lesego has been suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, “a coping mechanism to a captive or abusive situation” this has been both draining on her health & that of her family and those in her support.

Having her child buried without her presence and that of her family; Having called the funeral Parlour of Sonja Elite Funeral Group handled by Mariandra Heunis and Sonja Smith whom when Lesego called the office she was informed by the secretary/person on the other side of the line that their client (Ndhuna) paid a lot of money not to answer to her or give her any form of information pertaining her Son’s burial & that the best person to ask is Ndhuna directly.

This matter has taken social media by storm, more specifically Instagram where Lesego exposed Ndhuna of his Narcissistic behaviour,  understanding that: (Narcissistic behaviour is behaviour that is hard to prove in court or raise as a defence as it is a medical condition or habitual condition only the victim lives with such trauma).

Lesego has opened a notice of motion against first, second, third & forth respondents being:

1. Olivenhoutbosch Police Station
2. Olivenhoutbosch Cemetry
3. Sonja Smith Elite Funeral Group
4. Oberon Sungulani Matsuvuki

An interdict application was drafted this afternoon 25 October 2024, by an advocate and Attorney’s on urgent basis and order was granted to stop the funeral. Ndhuna was made aware of the court order however by the time they got to Olivenhoutbosch Cemetery the child had already been buried.

Furthermore, Olivenhoutbosch Cemetery was called telephonically and notified of the interdict and the woman that answered the phone said that; “a lot of money had been paid and they will go ahead with the burial” and our source further says that the woman was told that this is the law we are talking about and it needs to be followed therefore; will continue with the burial regardless.

This is to prove that we are indeed living in a society whereby money is put before humanitarian principals and the law of South Africa.

We wish that Lesego will get the justice she deserves. No parent deserves to go through what Lesego is going through and may she find healing, transparency and get all the answers of what truly  happened to her Son Koane.

May His souls rest in peace and his family and mother find healing in these difficult times
