What do you know about hidden wars and the living dead?
The Issue
In this world, there are wars we hear about every day—wars that are shown on screens, written about in reports, and talked about by everyone. But there is another kind of war, one that is unseen, unheard, and unwritten. It is a war fought in the shadows, behind closed doors, in looks of disdain, in words of threat, in unjust laws that suffocate souls.
It is a daily battle fought by people born into societies that reject their existence, in environments that strip them of their basic rights, forcing them to live in constant fear. These people do not die just once, but die every day while still alive. They suffer in silence, buried while they still breathe.
Yet, despite it all, there are those who refuse to be defeated—those who choose resistance despite the pain and loss of hope, who insist that their lives are worth living. They are not merely striving to survive, but to change the world for the better, not just begging for survival without purpose.
These are the ones who need your support, your voices, your actions. Do not let their suffering remain in the shadows.
I may not know all the tragedies of humanity, but what I have endured is a story of survival against unimaginable odds. My life has been a relentless battle against cruelty, abandonment, and systemic oppression. I was born paralyzed, abandoned by my parents, and adopted by a family who saw me as nothing but a burden. I grew up in poverty, marginalized and sexually abused in a religious community that prioritized hiding crimes over protecting the vulnerable.
Despite the cruelty of my environment, I fought back. I confronted my abusers and bravely embraced my sexual orientation—a part of me I did not choose but was shaped by the harsh realities of life. I lived in a society that punished me for love, where holding the hand of someone I cared for was a crime.
I fled Morocco with my partner, hoping to find safety and freedom in Brazil. But the reality here has been a nightmare. Brazil, a country that claims to be open and accepting, has shown me nothing but hatred, racism, and indifference—not just toward LGBTQ+ individuals but also toward foreigners like me. The system here destroyed my relationship with my partner, leaving me alone and vulnerable. I was expelled from the only LGBTQ+ shelter that offered me refuge, and even the police treated me with racism and oppression.
Today, I live in a homeless shelter, surrounded by danger, harassment, and disease. The conditions are inhumane, with no privacy, no safety, and no dignity. I have reached out to countless organizations and commissions, but their promises have been empty. I feel abandoned by everyone—friends, loved ones, and even the systems that were supposed to protect me.
I face these challenges every day, but they are bigger than me. I fight, but I cannot fight alone. Even if the world turns its back on me, I will never give up. I will stand firm, even if it costs me my life, for my cause and for the cause of every oppressed person who suffers in silence and isolation.
All I have left is my voice and my story. But my story is not just mine—it is the story of countless others who suffer in silence, oppressed by systems that fail them. Your support is not just for me; it is a stand against injustice, a cry for safety, and a demand for a world where no one has to endure what I have endured.
Help me raise my voice. Help me share my story. Sign my petition and stand with me as I fight for a better world—a world free from injustice, oppression, and hatred.
