I hope everyone is considering making a submission to the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). It doesn't have to be long, just enough to express your concerns.

I discovered a very important deception. For the EIS they carried out a study to determine the existing average ambient noise levels throughout Western Sydney. They also carried out predictive average noise modelling for once operations at WSI commence. The deception is that for most of the modelling, the average noise levels are actually lower than the existing average ambient noise levels. In other words the Draft EIS is telling us that it will be quieter with 100 aircraft per day flying overhead than it is today. And of greatest concern is that they used those lower values to calculate negative health impacts. The outcome is that according to the Draft EIS most people in Western Sydney will sleep better and be healthier with aircraft noise than we are without.
