Open A tongue tie clinic in SWA hospital

Open A tongue tie clinic in SWA hospital
The Issue
Tongue tie is a leading factor in preventing women achieving a breastfeeding journey they are happy with. Currently if a baby is found to have a tongue tie in the Southern sector of the Western trust, they must travel to Altnagelvin Hospital, over an hour's drive for most people in the Fermanagh area, with, in most cases a newborn baby, and for many of the women recovering from birth or c section. This distance is prohibitive for many new parents, and daunting to say the least.
It is our understanding that at least 2 people with the necessary expertise are already employed in the maternity unit at SWAH, but there is currently no directive for the clinic to be started.
We, the undersigned, are petitioning for this to be rectified and for a suitable clinic to be available as demand prescribes at SWA hospital.
