On Friday, April 22nd the Barclay Grounds will become Barclay Park - the first new park in the West Chester Borough Parks system for over 10 years. If you are receiving this e-mail you have helped to save the Barclay Grounds and preserve them in perpetuity – either by signing the petition or by making a donation – or both. The preservation of this beautiful and historic site could not have been achieved without you. So come and celebrate your accomplishment with others who have also helped. There will be a ribbon-cutting and a few words from Borough, County and State officials, as well as local land preservation organizations and the Barclay Grounds Preservation Alliance (BGPA). But the star of the programme will be the park itself – in its best Spring dress. A more detailed programme will be sent to you next week.
