Hello Petition Supporters:

We have now obtained over 800 signatures for this petition to keep the statue of Gov. Allen in its current location!

I was contacted today by a member of the Parish Council who asked if I would be speaking at their meeting this week. I advised that, out of concern for my own safety, I did not feel comfortable speaking at the meeting. While I hope that nothing would happen in our Parish, the recent events and responses across our great country have discouraged me from speaking in person regarding this issue. I hope that everyone understands my position. I do plan on attending the meeting this week but I would prefer to only watch and listen.

If anyone feels comfortable in addressing the Parish Council, I would encourage you to attend this week's meeting and do so.
