First of all I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported this petition. It is vital that we make sure our opinions are heard at this critical time in our nation's history. As of this morning there are 600 signatures on this petition and I am truly overwhelmed by the response!

In a recent article published by the West Side Journal, Mayor Richard Lee said that he "will bring a resolution in support of relocating the statue before the City Council at the July meeting." That meeting will be held this coming Thursday, July 9th at 5:30 PM at the Port Allen City Hall. These meetings are open to the public.
