The House passed legislation Thursday that would cap the monthly cost of insulin at $35 for the millions of diabetic Americans who rely on the drug.
Lawmakers approved the measure in a 232-193 vote, with just a dozen Republicans joining Democrats in support. It now heads to the Senate
I am posting this article about The Affordable Insulin Now Act passing the House with a vote of 232 to 193 and only 31 cosponsors in the House. H.R. 6833 had 193 nay votes from Representatives refusing to help individuals afford reasonable insulin prices. 4 Representatives in VA voted nay to include Cline, Good, Griffith and Wittman. In Maryland all the Representatives voted yes but only having 2 MD Representatives to cosponsor H.R. 6833 originally.
The Affordable Insulin Now Act S. 3700 is in the Senate with 34 cosponsors. Senators Van Hollen and Tim Kaine are cosponsors and Senators Ben Cardin and Mark Warner are not cosponsors. Politicians Cardin, Kaine, Warner, Cline, Good and Griffith are not cosponsors of the Social Security Fairness and 2100 Acts.
Please let your neighbors know in your voting Districts where our Representatives and Senators stand on the issues and remember them in the voting polls.
