Keep your local voice #saveswanseasound #achubsainabertawe

Judging by the number of people signing the petition to #saveswanseasound, demonstrates just how important our local radio station is to the residents of Swansea and the wider South West Wales region.

With plans to re-brand and replace Swansea Sound with presenters and content originating from England, there'll be no more Sunday Hotline, very little local content or connection with listeners, and no more familiar friendly Welsh sounding presenters who live where you do.

After nearly half a century Swansea Sound will be no more unless we act now.  It happened to Cardiff's Red Dragon Radio and Marcher Sound in North Wales. Once it's gone, it's gone.

Don't let Swansea Sound go the same way as The Mumbles Train and Oystermouth Road's slip bridge.

Please keep sharing the link to this petition using #saveswanseasound on social media and our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/saveswanseasound/

In the meantime if you want a little nostalgia, let's take you back to September 1974 when Wales' first local commercial radio station began broadcasting.

Thanks again for all your support.
