#saveswanseasound - Another milestone reached

We're blown away by the support the people of Swansea (and further afield) have been showing for Swansea Sound.  Last night we reached another milestone of 1170 signatures.  

We all have the same passion for what is one of the UK's and Wales' oldest commercial radio stations and still known by its original name.

Here are some of the comments you've been making (and we agree with every single one of them)

• "it's a gem and once gone it will be lost forever"
• "its the heart of our town"
•  "It's local and relevant."
• "so important to the local community"
• "it's an institution"
• "To close Swansea Sound would be doing a disservice to the people of South West Wales"

• "whenever I come home it’s my preferred station to listen to"

There are literally hundreds of comments like these.   

Imagine a radio station where you couldn't call in to express your views on local matters, connect with presenters you've known for years and who know you just as well as you know them, who speak the same language because they live locally and know South West Wales as well as you do.

Swansea Sound has Heritage and Hwyl.

Please keep sharing the petition across your social media networks and using the hashtag #saveswanseasound. Also tell those who might not have internet access about the possibility they could lose their local  voice.  It's important we get the word out there and believe me through your support, the petition is starting to draw attention.
