Wells Fargo: Justice for Widow of Bola Omoteso

The Issue

We had a happy family and all was going well. My husband and I were blessing lives in and out of church and community. My husband once gifted a property at cost to a friend living with sickle cell whose family members lost their lives in an accident. He had to give up the property to become a renter again just to serve comfort to the man. I as well worked in schools, served soul care leading to transformation and helped to save many from suicide through the #ExcelWithAnne initiative.

In 2016 my beloved husband was murdered by medical neglect, during a vacation abroad. He decided to travel in hope of taking up a short term appointment to earn income and mitigate the illegal robocalls by Wells Fargo. Following Bola Omoteso's death, Wells Fargo who had approved short sale on one home and modification on another promptly pulled back on both, refused for me to serve as Administrator but continued to receive mortgage payment from me. Wells Fargo vehemently denied this in court.

At some point, the bank refused a mortgage payment check for $5000 and before I knew it, foreclosure began. Though by divine intervention, foreclosure stopped on 88A, between the attorneys for Wells Fargo, the court, the realtor, the broker and the bank, even before the court made a decision, the buyer arranged with the tenant to move out and handy folks entered into the property to start renovating. A 911 call to stop them led to the police siding with Alan Spira, the buyer who contrary to law was well known to the broker. On the scene, the broker - Daniel (Danny) Arvatz, who had extorted money from my husband for years, and threatened me following his death, surfaced to let me know foreclosure happened because I refused to continue paying him.

I won a default judgement against the tenant who at the time owed 10 months rent totalling about $50,000 excluding damages. Joe Budden absconded rather than pay.

For the adjoining home (88B) whose modification was stopped, I spent 2-3 years to renovate the home to bring it to a value of $1.65M but to my shock between the realtor, broker and bank, I returned from travel to see that locks had been changed and all we owned taken to an unknown address with the connivance of a 'white' woman injected as administrator. Till date no one told me the wheerabout of all my husband and I worked for in combined years of 45 years.

An attempt to stand my ground saw the Police of Englewood and Edgewater conniving to send me on false diagnosis to Englewood Hospital where the Police of Englewood further brutalised me before releasing me with no booking or charge to the street in hospital gown.

When one home (the third) was sold for over $970,000, Wells Fargo after receiving full reimbursement for the home (457B) still waited in line to receive what we owed on the adjoining home. Eviction paper was served on the adjoining unit that was sold, it was never served on me. To my shock, our matrimonial home for which Wells Fargo received funds (457A) which by implication was now technically paid off, was the home from which I was brutalised by Sheriff Officers from Bergen County and sent to the streets in the height of covid. This was in violation of Executive Order 249 and 106.

I will NOT bore you with long story but one after the other 4 homes were hijacked because I dared to be female of African race with no access to justice in America.

Wells Fargo claim we owe. On paper, total owed on the 4 homes is less than $1M, add charges and exclude over $100,000 I paid. This still does NOT explain why Wells Fargo harassed me, connived with law enforcement officers, judges, brokers, realtors, tenants and attorneys, traumatised my family and high handedly hijacked 4 homes valued at $1.5M, $1.65M, $1M, 1M respectively within a space of three years with no cent to me as the widow of Bola Omoteso. But rather still waited in line to get cash from surplus funds held for me by the NJ Courts under the purview of the Attorney General who never responded to my correspondence.

As widow rather than have the help of the Surrogates Court, the backed down and further cemented the coffin of social, economic and judicial abuse. The City of Englewood played their part, in spite of receiving tax on two properties, police from the city claimed that our individually taxed homes, racially zoned as Englewood though located in Fort Lee is considered one, hence throwing me out. Till date there is no office that handles the matters of those widowed or successors in New Jersey. Surrogate Court is merely to serve as arbiters and mediators with no right of property hijack.

In all these instances I cried out to no avail and lawyers kept warning that those who wanted our homes were above the law. The few attorneys who signed on, signed off when there was no more funds. Family members were terrified I would be killed.

I have been homeless. Wells Fargo used predatory lending, retained my husband's accounts and continued to add charges long after I had submitted papers showing he had transited, lied the bank was unaware of his death and started proceedings for foreclosure with only a dead man as witness and worked through Fay Servicing LLC and other attorneys in New Jersey including David Kessler and Adam Kessler of Kessler Law LLC to steal our homes. As a matter of fact, I was evicted with no single service to me in a land that seeks to ensure rule of law in other lands.

Without any legal backing or court paper, the lawyers got the tenant in 457B Pamela Odudoh to start paying to them leading to loss of rent for about 20 months which is in excess of $70,000. Total equity in these 4 homes excluding loss in rent is about $3M.

The addresses are as follows to aid verification:

88A Myrtle Avenue Edgewater, NJ. Mr. Joseph Budden, the rapper lived here and absconded with 10 months rent after huge damages to the home and voilation of the no dog policy.

88B Myrtle Avenue Edgewater, NJ. Imran Jairam, the nude bar owner lived in the home and absconded with rent for 5 months, totaling about $25,000 after monumental damages to the home and violation via using the home as an extention of his nude bar. I spent three years to renovate and frunish the home but the home ws hijacked with all my life saving, belongings, memorabilia, clothings, equipment etc. with the connivance of Jenny Flom.

457B Grandview Avenue, Englewood NJ. Pamela Odudoh, staff of UN Women who should have taken up the case to reflect wheer she worked, lived there and played to the gallery of the Adams in fear or connivance.

457A Grandview Avenue, Englewood NJ. Our matrimonial home, which was drained of all the memories and legacy of my husband and other family members through the hijack of all the belongings there.

The judges and attorneys involved are part of a clique that continues to prey on widows like me. For instance the administrators injected to usurp my role as administrator previously worked for the judge and even in retirement one of the judges woorks with the second who took over to siphon all we owned.

No human, woman or widow should have to face such INJUSTICE in America. My demand is simple, that Wells Fargo return our stolen homes. Bola Omoteso worekd hard in spite of living with a rare blood disease. It is unimaginable that of 4 homes for which he paid huge money down, as widow of Bola Omteso who worked tirelessly with a number of organisations and the American Airforce, there is no single hoem to our name.

Our matrimonial home is where we planned to use as office for our non profit to serve youths and those hurting. This is one of the 4 homes hijacked in a process that reeks of social, economic and judicial injustice.

After years of advocacy for justice and prayer for restoration, I have refocused my energy, received required education to return to work and I am set to build back better with a number of programs and projects instituted for children, seniors and widows. It would go a long way to have our faith in the system restored through recovery of our hijacked homes.

Please sign this petition asking Wells Fargo to return our homes and invite others to sign as well. Addie Polk, whose story Mr. Patrick Lovell shared in the Con, put  a gun to her own chest to save herself from the shame of homelessness after Wells Fargo's emmisaries arrived to take her home, which was worth less than the predatory mortgage.

Stand with me on #JusticeforOmolola, the widow of Bola Omoteso. Your action will return us home and position us to help many...

I thank you for signing and sharing.
