Sign if you would watch an animated continuation of Girl Meets World. For many fans, Girl Meets World ended before its story was truly finished. Michael Jacobs had plans for a fourth season, but the series was unable to find another network to continue it. Boy Meets World allowed audiences to watch Cory Matthews grow from a child into an adult. We saw him graduate, build a career, get married, and eventually start a family. Girl Meets World began a similar journey with Riley Matthews and her friends, but the series ended before we got to see where that journey would take them. Many fans still want to know what happened to Riley, Maya, Lucas, Farkle, Smackle, Zay, Auggie, Ava, and the rest of the characters we grew up with. There are still friendships to explore, lessons to learn, relationships to develop, and new generations to introduce. I believe an animated continuation could be a wonderful way to finish that story. Animation could allow members of the original cast to return as the voices of their characters without many of the challenges that come with coordinating a live-action production. Actors could record around other projects and schedules while still bringing these characters back to life. This would not need to be a reboot or a recast. It could simply continue the story and allow longtime fans to discover where these characters’ lives led while introducing Girl Meets World to a new generation. For me, Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World were more than television shows. They gave me a glimpse into a childhood and community I wish I had experienced myself. I would love to see what this group became, or even finally see some of the stories a fourth season never got the chance to tell. Maybe Riley finally gets to cheer. Maybe Lucas and Zay finally get to play football. Maybe Farkle and Smackle continue being smarter than most of the adults around them. We could see Ava navigating life after her dad left and Auggie growing up. Girl Meets World ended before we got to see Riley and the others grow up. The world still has more to meet.
