Governor Andrew Cuomo has launched the “Excelsior Pass” that will provide businesses and public venues with digital proof of your Covid-19 Vaccination or Negative Test Results prior to entering their public establishments. If you fail to provide a green check ✅ that is proof of being vaccinated or negative test results you could possibly be prohibited from entering a public business or venue.

Participation is voluntary however New Yorkers will be asked to show alternate proof of vaccination or testing.

Citizens who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons could possibly be discriminated against by not being able to provide proof of vaccination.

This app was created by IBM and it isn’t clear how it will secure New Yorkers sensitive health information.
