PETITION FOR STUDENT JUSTICE, TRANSPARENCY AND RESIGNATION OF RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITIES
We, the students, parents, and concerned citizens of India, demand the immediate resignation of the responsible authorities for repeated failures in India’s examination system.
We demand accountability from:
1. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan
Education Minister
2. Prof. Pradeep Kumar Joshi
Chairperson, NTA
3. Shri Abhishek Singh, IAS
Director General, NTA
4. Shri Rahul Singh, IAS
Chairperson, CBSE
5. Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj
Controller of Examinations, CBSE
The NEET paper leak has once again destroyed the trust of lakhs of hardworking students who prepare for years with honesty, discipline, and sacrifice. This is not merely an administrative error. It is a direct attack on merit, fairness, and the future of India’s youth.
At the same time, CBSE students have also faced serious concerns regarding evaluation, scanned answer books, technical errors, unchecked answers, wrong totalling, marks not carried forward, and the accessibility of the re-evaluation process.
CBSE’s post-result process itself shows how students were forced to fight for basic fairness. The process includes:
Step 1: Scanned copy of answer book
The student first applies to see the scanned or evaluated answer book.
Step 2: Verification of issues
After seeing the copy, the student can report visible or technical issues such as missing pages, unchecked answers, scanning errors, wrong totalling, marks not carried forward, and similar mistakes.
Step 3: Re-evaluation of specific answers
The student can challenge specific questions by comparing their answer with CBSE’s official marking scheme. This is not full-copy rechecking. It is only a question-wise challenge.
Earlier, the fee structure created a serious burden on students and families:
Scanned copy: ₹700 per subject
Verification: ₹500 per answer book
Re-evaluation: ₹100 per question
After student pressure and public outrage in social media, CBSE reduced the fees to:
Scanned copy: ₹100
Verification: ₹100
Re-evaluation: ₹25 per question
CBSE has also said that if marks increase after re-evaluation, the re-evaluation fee will be refunded.
Recent reports confirm this reduction in fees and refund rule after concerns around evaluation and on-screen marking. This clearly proves that students’ concerns were valid.
This is not the first time such failures have happened. Every such incident creates mental stress, damages careers, and weakens public faith in India’s education system.
Therefore, we demand:
1. Immediate resignation or removal of the responsible authorities named above.
2. Independent and time-bound investigation into the NEET paper leak.
3. Complete transparency in CBSE evaluation and re-evaluation processes.
4. Full refund to students wherever marks increase after re-evaluation.
5. Strict accountability for every official responsible for examination mismanagement.
Students cannot be made to suffer again and again because of institutional failure. This petition is a demand for student justice, transparency, accountability, and protection of India’s youth.
