Our farm is what Borrego refers to as a unique siting, perfect for the wind turbines.  there is location, the landowner who wants them and the wind. Despite what those people in opposition to the turbines are saying, there can be only two turbines here.  The reason for this is that our farm is the only land on top of the mountain with this much acreage to comply with the setbacks as created by the Town of Middleburgh.  If you read the statements of the opposition, they make it sound as if we will be developing a wind farm, like the photo from China on their petition, depicting a barren mountain with many turbines as opposed to this Community Wind Project ~ this is yet another incorrect statement from those in opposition ~ the limit is two.
