Dear Sir,

Wagholi a suburb of Pune, was under the Gram Panchayat.

Gram Panchayat was not able to handle the growth of Wagholi due to insufficient resources. As a result of extensive efforts by our MLA Advocate. Shri. Ashok Bapu Pawar Ji and local residents. Finally, Wagholi has been merged into PMC.  

This is a significant step forward for Wagholi's future and development. We are very happy and satisfied with this decision. Our understanding is that things cannot be changed overnight or in a month. 

Around 2.5 to 3 lakh people live in Wagholi today. Providing basic civic facilities to such a large population is only possible with the Pune Municipal Corporation. (PMC) This is because they bring in the expertise to build and develop infrastructure to serve such a large area and population. Hence, we as residents want Wagholi to be part of PMC. We will also support the proposal for the creation of a separate municipal corporation for Wagholi and the surrounding area if proposed!

Wagholi's current major issues. 

• Drinking water
• Connecting roads  
• Drainage infrastructure  
• Solid Waste Management  
• A stable supply of electricity
• Easily accessible health services 

Due to the scale of the issue and the population, PMC is the most viable option for fast growth and development.  

In our nearby area like KHARADI, we have seen this change first hand under PMC. It took time to transform, but now it is the fastest-growing area in Pune.  

Thus, we Wagholi residents support #PMCforWagholi.

वाघोली हे पुण्याचे उपनगर, ग्रामपंचायत अंतर्गत होते. अपुऱ्या साधनसंपत्तीमुळे वाघोलीची वाढती मागणी हाताळणे ग्रामपंचायतींना कठीण झाले होते. आमचे आमदार अॅड. श्री. अशोक बापू पवार जी आणि स्थानिक रहिवाशांच्या व्यापक प्रयत्नांमुळे अखेर वाघोलीचे पीएमसीमध्ये विलीनीकरण करण्यात आले आहे.

वाघोलीच्या भविष्यासाठी आणि विकासाच्या दृष्टीने हे महत्त्वाचे पाऊल आहे. या निर्णयामुळे आम्ही खूप आनंदी आणि समाधानी आहोत. आम्ही समजु शकतो एका महिन्यात/ वर्षभरात सर्व प्रश्न सुटू शकत नाहीत.

वाघोलीत आज सुमारे अडीच ते तीन लाख लोक राहतात. एवढ्या मोठ्या लोकसंख्येला मुलभूत नागरी सुविधा पुरविणे केवळ पुणे महापालिकेलाच शक्य आहे. वाघोली सारखे मोठे क्षेत्र आणि लोकसंख्येला सेवा देण्यासाठी पायाभूत सुविधा निर्माण आणि विकसित करणे केवळ महापालिकाच करू शकते

त्यामुळे वाघोलीला PMC भाग व्हावा अशी आमची रहिवासी इच्छा आहे. वाघोली आणि आसपासच्या परिसरासाठी स्वतंत्र महापालिका निर्माण करण्याच्या प्रस्तावाला आमचाही पाठिंबा असेल!

वाघोलीची सध्याची लोकसंख्या पाहता फक्त महानगरपालिका वाघोलीचा विकास करू शकते. जलद विकासासाठी PMC हा सर्वात व्यवहार्य पर्याय आहे.

खराडी सारख्या आमच्या जवळच्या भागात, PMC अंतर्गत विकास स्पष्टपणे दृश्यमान आहे.कायापालट व्हायला वेळ लागला, पण आता ते पुण्यातील सर्वात वेगाने वाढणारे भाग आहे.
