We support Electric Works

We support Electric Works
The Issue
Electric Works is the right project at the right time for our community - and the biggest two-year economic stimulus project in our city's history.
It's no surprise that Electric Works enjoyed overwhelming support from the public, as well as the majority of elected and community officials. It will bring more than 2,000 jobs and more than $220 million in outside investment to Fort Wayne and Allen County. It will bring the corporate headquarters of Do it Best - Indiana's largest privately held company - and its 450 jobs to downtown Fort Wayne. It will bring a workforce development program and a commitment to growing minority-, women,- and veteran-business enterprises.
Instead, the Redevelopment Commission - a body of politically appointed, unelected officials - unilaterally decided to cancel the development team's economic development agreement with its public funding partners, putting the future of the project in serious doubt.
Regardless, we as a community still believe in Electric Works. We are not giving up. And we want our voices heard. By signing this petition, I'm sending a message to our community leaders and local funding partners that I still support Electric Works - and I want to see its vision brought to life. Join us by showing your support for Electric Works!
