We say NO to underinvestment in Plockton’s schools.

We are asking Highland Council to pause the current consultation and bring forward a clear, detailed and evidence-based plan for the future of education in Plockton and the wider catchment area — one based on what our children and community need, not simply on the limitations of buildings that they have been allowed to deteriorate.

For years, promised investment and maintenance have not delivered the long-term solution our schools need. This led to the primary school being temporarily relocated to the high school in an emergency situation.

We now face a proposal to make that temporary arrangement permanent — without the level of investment, assessment and long-term planning needed to demonstrate that it is genuinely the right solution for our children.

Our children deserve better than choosing between two buildings that are both unsuitable for the future.

We are not against change. We are asking Highland Council to stop, listen, properly assess the options, and invest in a solution that gives Plockton and its wider community the schools it deserves.
