The Issue

Shelters in the US are killing healthy shelter animals at an rapid rate (1 million) 48% of the shelters across the US are kill shelters in 2025. We need to help reduce this amount

No animal should have to be euthanized to make room for another animal. Overcrowding in shelters is a problem, but euthanizing animals who didn’t find a home in under a week is not the correct solution. Overpopulation isn't always the issue, animals may have behavior problems and the shelter cant deal with them anymore. This is not okay and they should do something to help their behavior rather than just euthanize the animals. Greenville county has lots of problems with over population and abandoning animals at the shelters is not helping. We need to encourage adoption, foster care, neuter and spay clinics, and responsible pet ownership.

Please sign the following petition to add these rules to shelters:

All shelters have a no-kill policy
More funding towards shelters so they can afford more space.
Make a law so that all animals have to get neutering/spaying
Create stricter laws for pet stores that sell dogs.
Regulate dog breeders and add heavy penalties for over breeding.
