We need safe, clean and tidy toilets in Burry Port Station.

We need safe, clean and tidy toilets in Burry Port Station.
The Issue
Good toilets boost visiting numbers and boost business, so therefore everyone stands to gain from better toilet facilities in Burry Port Station
We need a better management system in Burry Port Station
This petition is part of a GCSE Citizenship investigation into local government accountability and the provision of essential public amenities. As some of you may be aware , for years the station toilets have been subject to a stalled asset transfer between the county and town councils, resulting in a severe decline in maintenance and hygiene standards. At present, the toilets are operational but are subject to regular closures due to vandalism. They are not nice to look at, need a lick of paint and we need more regular cleaning in place and perhaps a small fee put in place (around 50p) to discourage vandals. Burry Port has a high elderly population which is impacted by the toilet closures. Many vulnerable groups such as the elderly, families with small children and people with long term medical conditions have to schedule their day around toilet accessibility. When the harbour portaloos opened, it was clear to see that they boosted business, so keeping a standard level of cleanliness in the station toilets will probably boost business around the area (cozy coffee, Co-op etc)
