Not having access to menstrual products can mean missing days of school for many young girls. It is surely a personal matter for us, as it moves a significant portion of our youth from nourishing education. It is estimated that one in five girls have missed school due to lack of period protection. This current lack of inclusive facilities is unfair and does a massive disservice to our young women who are trying hard to secure a better future through education. This petition aims to promote the provision of free period products in all school bathrooms across the country. Let’s demolish this barrier to educational access and build an equitable learning environment for all. So, we urge educators, lawmakers, and all concerned individuals to endorse this call. In Northern Ireland and many more schools across the UK, girls struggle to access period products in schools. This isn’t right! Make menstrual products accessible and free in all school bathrooms.
