Hello Supporters,

The Park Board staff has posted their recommendation to proceed with the original 25m leisure centre plan that was considered by the Park Board Commissioners on February 24th and 25th. The plan will be considered again at the Park Board Meeting on March 31st. 

This recommendation comes despite:

·        The 2022 Plebiscite that received over 100,000 votes for borrowing for a 50m renewal of the VAC;

·        Overwhelming support of speakers at the February 24/25 Park Board meetings for a 50m pool;

·        Independent design showing the ability to re-configure the 50m tank within the current footprint;

·        This petition having received over 14,000 signatures to date.

What can you do?

·        Please attend the meeting and sign up to speak (link here: https://parkboardmeetings.vancouver.ca/2025/20250331/index.htm

·        Ask everyone you meet to sign this petition – pushing the signatures up to over 15,000 before March 31st will require everyone to work on this!

·        Make this a City Council by-election issue. Talk to the candidates and ask them to commit to this cause.
