We Didn’t Start This Fight — Canada Will Not Be Bullied.
The Issue
Canada needs to Stand Up for itself!
The way Prime Minister Carney has given concession after concession is no way to deal with the bully that is Trump and his Administration. It only been successful at proving to Trump that the Canadian government won't defend the interest of Canadians. Instead Canada's government talks tough to the media but quickly collapses. Repeatedly backing down is the opposite of strength when faced with adversity. It's embarrassing that under even moderate pressure Carney acquiescence which only emboldens Trump more.
Has no one been paying attention to how Trump operates?
We need to be uncompromising in our resolve or he'll keep walking all over us.
He's pushed us to thin ice, I'm not waiting until we fall in and drowned. It's far past time to push back.
I'm tired of being a doormat!
Trump administration says it will not “tolerate” retaliation.
Canada should be equally clear: we will not tolerate being bullied by tariffs, threats and economic coercion.
We did not start this fight. We did not choose this confrontation. But there comes a point when compromise becomes appeasement, and Canada has reached that point.

So apparently it's all well and good for them to impose tariffs on us and we're just expected to take it. And if we do anything in response they're going to respond to that. Does he really think that we're just going to sit here and take it. I for one I'm sick and tired of this. If you are as well sign the petition.
If the situation were reversed — if Canada were imposing sweeping tariffs on American goods, threatening further action if the United States responded, and telling Americans what they were permitted to do in their own economic interest — does anyone seriously believe Washington would quietly accept it?

Canada should not be expected to accept treatment the United States itself would never tolerate.
We have already given ground. Too much, in my view. No more.
This is the line in the sand.
The Trump administration does not get to impose tariffs on Canada, threaten us for responding, insult our sovereignty with “51st state” rhetoric, and then expect our government to keep conceding.
We will go no further.
Prime Minister Carney and the Government of Canada are being put on notice: do not reward these threats with another concession.
Hold the line. Protect Canadian workers, Canadian industries and Canadian sovereignty. Washington says it will not tolerate Canada fighting back. Then Washington should understand this: Canada will not tolerate being pushed around either.
