Dear Friends:
They knew. They knew all along.
Today, Inman News confirmed that despite public denials, leaders of NAR were well-aware of inappropriate behavior at the association.
Inman News published details of a letter, sent from a law firm that was previously hired by NAR to investigate allegations of misbehavior. The letter amounts to a smoking gun.
The letter states: “As you know, I found some issues raised last year were true. Those issues ranged from NAR’s highest leaders being disrespectful, or lying about staff or members, to leaders being racially insensitive or engaging in sexual or ‘creep’ communications or actions. Again both female and male leaders were identified as having been involved in some of the allegations I found valid.”
Disappointingly, the letter also mentions that they, “ensured that we came up with creative ideas in support of NAR and Mr. Parcell, well beyond that other organizations or companies typically allow.” It also notes that unless there is internal gossip, “this issue should go away quickly for NAR and Mr. Parcell.”
We are here to say unequivocally that this issue is not going away quickly. And neither are we.
Today’s explosive news further confirms the need for the immediate implementation of the NAR Accountability Project’s 4-point plan.
As we plan for events moving forward, we need your help more than ever.
Today, we are asking our friends and supporters to join us in the following action steps:
1. Please download our social assets here and post on your social networks using the hashtag #agentsdemandchange so we can track it.
2. Please sign our online petition and share it with 10 colleagues and friends.
3. Stay vocal, talk with your colleagues both in person and online. Please encourage others to join us.
This is a critical moment in our effort to reform NAR. We are more confident than ever that our reform package (the only one put forth to date), will deliver immediate change to NAR. But to make our collective voices heard it will take all of us working together.
Let’s do this!
