'Bishop Cottons' is synonymous with discipline, dignity and decorum. This is an institution that has a rich legacy with its former students excelling in all walks of life throughout the globe. The emphasis of this institution is on character building and as Cottonians we always wore our school uniform with a deep sense of pride and a sense of responsibility to not malign the glorious name of the school.  Each student understood that the uniform made him or her an ambassador of all that Bishop Cottons stands for. The school administration has always been very, very strict to ensure that students especially while in school uniform  did not indulge in any action that maligned the fair name of the school. Even a slight aberration would be dealt with an iron fist for such used to be the commitment of the administration to the Cottonian ethos. Hence it is with deep anguish that we note the complacent attitude of the Principal of Bishop Cottons Girls School with regard to the hooligan behaviour exhibited by some students of the school in uniform, in public. This is to gently remind the Principal that 'you are the trustee of the fair name and reputation of our school and we depend on you to salvage the damage done.' This is to request the Principal of Bishop Cottons Girls School to immediately expell the students involved in the episode. Dear Dr. Lavanya Mithran, we trust you to act in true Cottonian spirit and go 'On Straight on... ' Hope you will not let us down.
