We Demand a Korean Remake of "The Mutya of Section E" with a Healthy Plot!
The Issue
To: Studio Dragon and Global Production Companies
"The Pearl of Section E" (Ang Mutya ng Section E) is a phenomenally popular youth story with millions of fans worldwide. However, the current adaptation has deeply hurt and disappointed the global audience. The plot fell into toxic clichés, romanticizing psychological and physical abuse by the male lead, while completely destroying the healthy, mature character arc of the second lead (Yuri).
Modern viewers are tired of toxic "bad boy" tropes and ruined characters. We refuse to accept that a heroine should forgive a broken nose and manipulation in the name of "love." We need a story that teaches self-love, healthy boundaries, and true personal growth.
South Korea's Studio Dragon is famous for creating masterpieces that heal hearts (like Goblin, Tomorrow, and It's Okay to Not Be Okay). We, the global fanbase, demand a Korean K-drama remake of this story. We want to see a version with a healthy, psychologically mature plot where:
1) Love is built on actions, safety, and mutual respect.
2) The heroine puts herself and her mental health first.
3) The reformation of characters happens through real self-reflection and facing the consequences of their actions.
Let's show the world that healthy relationships matter! Please sign this petition to help us bring a mature, beautiful Korean remake of "Section E" to life.
