Greetings petition signers,
The most important election in the nearly 150-year history of our village is less than a month away, and we have some exciting news to share with you. Village President Chris Zellner was seeking another term unopposed until recently. However, Frank Bergman, a candidate we are endorsing, has volunteered to be a write-in candidate to run against him. As a result, we are endorsing Frank Bergman for village president. Here is a link to Frank’s campaign Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Frank-Bergman-for-Waunakee-Village-President-2333415836895043/. Read more about his views here: http://www.hngnews.com/waunakee_tribune/news/government/article_3fb82655-e9f3-5854-ad76-c5dccfd78c7d.htmlIn order for write-in votes to count, you must write in Frank Bergman in the blank and fill in the bubble to the left of his name. If the bubble is not filled in, the voting machine cannot read the vote and the write-in vote is not counted.
In addition, if you are interested in a yard sign for village board candidates Ann Lewandowski and Mary Heimbecker, please send us an email at keepdanerural@gmail.com with your address and we will contact the candidates, who will deliver the sign to your home and install it for you. We will not use addresses for any purpose other than helping you get a sign. Thank you to those of you who have already reached out to us about yard signs.
Please remember that there are two more village board candidate forums coming up. The dates, information, and times are listed below.
