Most of you have probably heard by now that T. Wall has filed a lawsuit against the village. Here is an article about the details behind the lawsuit. If the lawsuit is successful for T. Wall, the public hearings that resulted in the rezoning denial (which was based on the fact that it did not comply with the 2017 Comprehensive Plan) would be thrown out. The lawsuit also requests that additional rezone and variance denials by the Village Board would be void. We hope that the village is successful in the lawsuit and we will provide you with additional information as the case proceeds. 

Meanwhile, here are our candidates for Village Board for the April 2nd, 2019 election:

Keep Northern Dane County Rural is currently endorsing Mary Heimbecker and Ann Lewandowski. We will endorse a third candidate as we get closer to April 2nd. We have learned that two candidate forums will be held in early March. One will be on March 9th at the Waunakee Village Center from 10-11 a.m.. and the other will be held on March 17th at the Waunakee EMS Building (time TBD). Those in attendance will have the opportunity to learn about the candidates and ask them questions. We will post another update as these dates get closer, as well as information on yard signs for the candidates we have endorsed if any are available.
