WRFC is bringing top-tier professional women's soccer to Waterloo Region, with the goal of entering the NSL in 2028. Co-founded by Helen Stoumbos, who scored Canada’s first FIFA Women’s World Cup goal, the organization aims to build a competitive club with strong community relationships and a lasting regional presence.

WRFC’s vision connects professional sport with opportunities for community participation, youth engagement and careers on and off the field. As the organization grows, it plans to work with local soccer clubs, schools, businesses, municipalities, and community organizations to understand regional priorities and identify meaningful opportunities for collaboration.

Every voice matters in bringing professional women’s soccer to Waterloo Region. Sign our petition today to show the league that our community is ready.
