Good morning:
Our petition has garnered 1,500 signatures and we are very grateful for the support. It is disheartening that our community is being forced to mobilize under these circumstances. It is disheartening that our district has a pattern for seemingly unfit Superintendents.
Two questions have been circulating around this petition. One- What do we intend to do with these signatures?
Ans) Today we begin the planning for an on the ground protest. We are looking to you to take your support from the digital world into the real world. We will wait until after Joe Hart interviews Ms. Davis and Ms. Holland to reveal details, though it would take some very deep and authentic honesty to begin the process of rebuilding trust with us and avoid escalation of this petition.
And two- Who is Reno Watch Party
Ans) We are you. We are a group of citizens who have watched our small community become corrupted. This is not the Reno and Washoe County that we grew up in. For years now, we have witnessed the stories, the mistakes, the lies, and the withholding of information, and we will accept it no more.
With that said, for those of you following we want to draw a very important distinction. There is a difference between attacking her performance as Superintendent and attacking her personally. We are beyond outraged with her in the role of Superintendent and we would hope she is taking reflection on a whole community who feels similarly. We encourage supporters of our cause to engage in a respectful and dignified approach to expressing these feelings.
We have submitted our questions to Joe Hart for his interview on Monday at 4pm. We will post them here and to our timeline 15 minutes before the interview commences.
