The current redistricting plan as proposed would remove Wedgwood Neighborhood students from Wedgwood elementary school. This would destroy the sense of community of ‘Wedgwood’ as a neighborhood, as well as resulting in bussing kindergarteners over 40 minutes to their new location at TJ and longer commutes for all other grade levels. This impacts all of the students of Wedgwood,  kindergarten, elementary and middle school. This proposal leaves Wedgwood's youngest children to bear the overwhelming emotional costs of lost friendships, more time on the bus, and overall disruption of their lives.
