Covid-19 has had a huge impact on many people, yes 2020 was a rough year for most, this does not give licensed venues the right to disturb locals communities with excessive noise due to live music and outside patrons in recently constructed marquees

Let local council know that West Warrnambool residents are sick and tired of the noise coming from Rafferty's Tavern,

Lets speak in numbers and make just as much noise to let the venue know we don't need to hear their music in our own lounge rooms 

Live music every Thursday, Friday, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, what possible harm could it do to listen to the locals, and turn the music down 5-10db

Since October 2020 West Warrnambool residents have had every weekend overshadowed by live music, patron noise and extended jukebox noise well in to the early hours of the morning, 

• Have your family movie nights been overshadowed by bass
• Do you resent going in to your backyard
• Is a relaxing evening on the deck drowned by acoustics
• Is your mental health and sleep routine being impacted
• Are your children forced to remain awake until 11pm
• Are you a shift worker/heavy vehicle user

If you are affected by this noise there are people that will listen, with recent escalation to the EPA, Warrnambool Mayor, VCGLR make your voice heard call the following, they can only act if they know a problem exists

• Warrnambool police station and lodge a noise complaint against the venue 
• Warrnambool City Council 
• Lodge a complaint with the EPA
• Lodge a online complaint with the VCGLR

There are regulations this venue needs to follow in relation to live music which can not be played past 11pm whilst keeping music player after 11pm to "background" noise,   

Operating times for outdoor venue noise

Events shorter than five hours must:

start after 12 pm
finish by 11 pm.

Events five hours or longer must:

start after 12 pm
finish by 10 pm.

After 11pm background noise is permissible but must not exceed 3db above the actual back ground noise of the local area. ie highway noise

• Music noise can impact some people’s health and well being, especially when it affects the ability to sleep, or to undertake normal activities at home.
