Thank you so much to all those who came out for last night’s board meeting. The strong turnout definitely sent a message to the board and I believe President Swan was listening and heard our concerns. She proposed the following 4 point plan: 1. Cut $210,000 (5% reduction) from the operating budget 2. Use a 5 year plan for reserve funding rather than 10 years 3. Proposed a fund to help families who cannot afford a dues increase 4. Improve communication to owners on the specifics of what our HOA is The inflated pool estimate of $2,000,000 was not addressed. Each $1,000,000 for the pool adds $330 to the dues. Without a finalized bid for the pool improvements any dues increase is premature. If the final pool bid comes in at $1,000,000 we have sufficient reserve funds to cover the pool improvement. We as members and residents of the Village need to remain vigilant. Please attend the board meeting on November 15th at 5:30PM to show the board that we are serious about remaining involved in the operations of our village and that we will be paying attention to their actions.
