In our previous update "Wagga Council's Contracted Vet", the articles we shared stated that the three parties involved had the right to appeal. We have now been informed that Dr Sayer appealed and the Racing Appeals Tribunal dismissed the two charges against him. We contacted Greyhound Racing New South Wales and were sent the following on 24 May 2019:
"The decision can be found here: https://www.gwic.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0003/229782/GR-Talbot-Sayer-decision-20.5.19.pdf
The Appeals page on their website can be found here: https://www.gwic.nsw.gov.au/integrity/appeals-to-racing-appeals-tribunal/appeal-decisions "
Also please see link to the article in our local paper: https://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/6161104/sayer-cleared-of-any-wrongdoing-around-better-cruise/?cs=9624
As the information in our previous update "Wagga Council's Contracted Vet" is no longer accurate in regards to Dr Sayer due to his appeal being upheld, we have removed the update.
