An off-road area for dirt/trail bikes within Mandurah-Murray area.

An off-road area for dirt/trail bikes within Mandurah-Murray area.
The issue
Wouldn’t it be great to have a Pinjar off-road area for dirt/trail bikes in Mandurah/Murray area? A place the whole family and their friends can ride their dirt/trail bikes safely and legally without the fear of fines. The good news is the topic has been in and out of discussion for many years. But without the support of the community and fellow riders, an area such as Pinjar in the Mandurah/Murray area may never exist.
I would like to start a petition for an off-road area for dirt/trail bikes within the Mandurah/Murray area. This much needed area will provide a positive, safe, family friendly place for all riders and all ages. It will also deter most joyriders within our suburbs as there is an area dedicated, making the communities safer. With over 400 dirt/trail bike related complaints a year in Mandurah alone, authorities could be using their valuable time else where.
At the moment Pinjar attracts around 120,000 visitors a year to the Wanneroo area. Imagine how much business Mandurah/Murray area can benefit from the influx of people. Also the last 24 months have seen 3 local motorcycle shops close its doors. Salesmen, mechanics and apprentice positions have been removed from the community. It’s our best interest to support local and grow the community especially post Co-vid 19.
Motorcycle riding can be healthy for all, both physically and mentally. A great way of relieving stress and being active individually or with family/friends. It is also a perfect outdoor non contact sport, that is great for fitness and building confidence within yourself. The benefits are endless.
With surrounding areas being built out and the lack of locations for dirt/trail bike riders to ride, the issue is only getting worse. We are asking support from the community of Mandurah/Murray areas and the appropriate government departments to please consider an off-road area for dirt/trail bikes within the Mandurah/Murray area.
