Dear Parents and Citizens of Navi Mumbai,

An unfortunate and deeply concerning incident has taken place involving a 4-year-old child from DPS Nerul on 24th April 2025.

Following a complaint, a bus driver has been arrested under serious charges, including violations under the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act).

Shockingly, despite the gravity of the situation, the Principal’s behavior has been extremely casual and insensitive.  Dismissive attitudes and laughing in the face of such serious allegations are unacceptable and must stop immediately — *accountability is non-negotiable.*

Do we want to foster an environment where children are not believed…treated without empathy and their physical, mental, emotional and social identity is scarred for life?

*No.*

At this critical moment, it is essential for us to come together and stand in solidarity with the affected family, to ensure that justice is served under POCSO and that the safety and dignity of every child is made a top priority.

We urge all concerned citizens and parents to join us in a peaceful protest:
