The Issue

Whitewood Village in Newark, Delaware is currently facing a pressing issue that calls for immediate community action. The Homeowners Association (HOA) board, along with the property management company, have been at the center of numerous complaints from residents, primarily concerning their irresponsible overspending, lack of transparency, as well as their ongoing rudeness and unprofessional conduct. It is disheartening to see such governance when HOA boards and property managers should be pillars of accountability and integrity.

The community deserves a management team and board that listens to its residents, respects them, and manages funds responsibly. Instead, we are faced with a board that hasn't prioritized clear communication or financial transparency, and a property management company that has consistently failed to provide the service and respect residents deserve. While these board members are volunteers, their duty is to serve the community, ensuring its well-being, harmony, and financial stability. Unfortunately, their actions, or lack thereof, are detrimental to the fabric of our neighborhood.

Overspending without proper consultation with residents raises serious questions about financial stewardship and whether personal interests overshadow communal priorities. Moreover, the communication gaps between the board and residents only exacerbate mistrust, fostering an environment where people feel isolated and their voices unheard.

We propose replacing the current HOA board and the property management company with individuals and a company that are committed to transparency, professionalism, and inclusivity. During the upcoming meeting, we urge all residents to voice their concerns and to vote for change. Elect individuals who are ready to communicate openly, who will manage funds responsibly, and who will restore confidence in our community's governance.

Only with active participation can we bring about the necessary changes. It is time to take a stand for our community's future, ensuring a better living environment for all residents. Let's work together to build a cohesive and transparent community that our families can be proud of.

Sign this petition to remove the current HOA board and property management company. Together, we can ensure that Whitewood Village becomes a stronger, more united, and transparent community.
