Dear RMSFA Store Owner, Manager, and Vaping Ally,
During the last week, the RMSFA and its allies have been lobbying against Colorado Senate Bill 22 – the vaping flavor ban legislation. The bill sponsor – Colorado State Senator Kyle Mullica – has dramatically amended the bill with a last-minute amendment called a “strike below.”
The updated bill duplicates a Colorado law from 2019 (House Bill 1033) that allows Colorado local governments to regulate and ban flavored vaping products. Senate Bill 22 does not create any substantive new law.
As a result, we do not anticipate needing dozens of vape shop owners, employees, and customers to testify on February 8, 2024.
We will have some RMSFA store owners and County Commissioners testifying against the bill.
Finally, we are already preparing for our next major fight against the anti-vaping community.
We anticipate a PMTA Registry Vaping Banning bill will be introduced soon. The upcoming PMTA bill would ban all flavored vaping products unless your vaping product is approved by the FDA.
We all know how flawed the PMTA process is and how this proposed law will only reward bad actors like JUUL and Big Tobacco while punishing Small Responsible Vape shops. A PMTA bill is being debated in the Arizona State Legislature and in other states.

Onward!
WE DO NOT NEED EVERYONE TO SHOW UP FOR TOMORROWS HEARING!!!
