Dear Colorado Vaping Store Owner and Ally,

We are proud to report that HB 1064 is defeated.  HB 1064 was defeated in the Senate Appropriations committee earlier today by a vote of 5 – 2. The bill was also “Postponed Indefinitely” which is a fancy way of saying the bill is dead for 2022.

There are a lot of people to thank beginning with Amanda Wheeler and you as store owners, employees, and customers. You all rose to the occasion to passionately and persuasively communicate your viewpoints – such as flavored vaping products save adult lives.

It’s also important to acknowledge the tremendous accomplishments of my business partner, Ted Trimpa, and the incredible work performed by the team of lobbyists and consultants, including Phil Hayes, Jenn Penn, Collon Kennedy, Kiera Hatton, Matt Moseley, Brian Fojtik, Jay Hicks, and Grier Bailey.  They are such good lobbyists.  There is an art and a science to lobbying to persuade an elected official. It's harder than you think.
