Dear Supporters,
Last week i received my car after repairing the gearbox. I paid a very small percentage of the expenses to sustain the "Good Will" policy (i.e. if you agree to pay a very small amount of the total cost of repair, the car manufacturer will remain responsible for similar mechanical errors even after the two year warranty). I also met the manager of Kayan, Siat's Agent in Egypt, and communicated my concerns. All of them were clarified & justified and they already took extreme measures to overcome similar incidents.
Final remarks:
- Make sure you do all car services at the agent and not anywhere else and have records proving this.
- DSG is an early technology adopted by several car manufacturers, it has great benefits and a lot of R&D is dedicated to it and that explain the frequent recalls and campaigns.
- A recall will be applied on your cars (if required) at your earliest visit to the agent.
- NEVER underestimate a service indicator lamp , and make sure you do a car service no later than 6 months.
