I thought that we would continue our tactic of contacting notable people en masse and our next such person is Howard Stern. Stern and his wife take in stray cats and have expressed compassion for those in need. While we don't want a check, we do need his voice and his radio persona would be a perfect fit for us. He is loud, he is brash, and he isn't afraid of being controversial. When you write him, ask him to support Kelly and an end to juvenile life without parole in Virginia and across our nation. If you know her, describe Kelly and who she is and then ask if there is one like her, then how many more are there who are destined to die behind bars for something that happened when they were a kid? Nobody is saying that a child should get a free pass. But the removal of all hope of ever being free again from a child is a sin. If you don't know her personally, that's alright. Just speak to why you oppose juvenile life without parole. Explain why children are different. Talk about how their minds are not fully developed until they are in their early twenties and that is the reason why we separated our justice system into the juvenile and adult systems. But we lost our way in the 1990s and began sentencing children to die in prison for their wrongs and in so doing, we have forever denied them any hope of redemption and forgiveness. You can contact Mr. Stern here: Howard Stern Sirius Satellite Radio 1221 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10020 I want to thank each of you for caring about Kelly. Two years ago, she thought that she was alone and without people that cared. Then you stepped up and pitched in and gave her hope for the future. May God bless you mightily for that. Of all the facets of the human soul, hope is the most precious. I will present a new celebrity each week and together we can hopefully make a very real difference. God bless, Bill
