As a society we overuse plastic without any thought of how much we use, where it goes and the impact it has on the earth.  We need to become responsible in Australia for this and become part of the solution.  Big business needs to become accountable for the part they play in this.  On a recent trip overseas, I was amazed at the amount of plastic cups served on a flight I was on, it only took a minute to think about how many flights a day in and out of Australia multiplied by the number of flyers ....a massive waste.  I am hoping to get the airlines to change over to paper cup usage as opposed to plastic or to find a better solution altogether.  One small step toward solving our plastic problem.
