I think there should be sidewalk/path all the way across West Bartlett Rd/Middle St. to connect to the Fox River Trail.  If it was connected it would open up people from Bartlett into Elgin.  This would help the city of Elgin/South Elgin and the businesses there.

Here is some things you can get to from the bike path:

• Fox River (Plenty of thing to do hiking,fishing picnics, etc.)
• Gail Borden Public Library
• Grand Victoria Casino (for adults)
• Many small shops and markets
• Festival Park (gardens, picnic area, splash park, etc.)
• Center of Elgin (Elgin Park District)
• Veterans Memorial park

Those are some of many attractions in Elgin.  Also it would make the path easier to access from Bartlett so that can open up Bartlett to bike riders.  Based on my research it would be a maximum of $80,000 and that would include asphalt and a gravel base.  Because of grants and fundraisers this is a small price to pay.  I like going on bike rides along the Fox river with my family but it takes forever to get there.  I would love to see a bike path put along West Bartlett road.
