"My fiancé Ashley and I are being evicted from our home, on property that we own, by the Village of Salmo.
They have just prematurely cancelled our building permit 6 months into our one year, along with our permit to camp on our property while we build.
The reason? They say that we have not started construction, even though we’ve been working tirelessly prepping our building site, felling trees and milling them into timbers for our future dream home. The village of Salmo wants us off our property by December 15th, rendering us homeless in the middle of winter, during a global pandemic, and in an extremely competitive (non-existent) rental market.

We are disgusted and enraged by this heartless action that the village refuses to rescind. We have tried reaching out to a handful of lawyers, who either haven't gotten back to us, or couldn’t help us with such short notice.
