Viking Cruises claims to be “committed to being a responsible corporate citizen” Though it is a nice statement to show customers and shareholders, Viking Cruises is committed to the exact opposite. Viking continues to source eggs from suppliers that confine hens in tiny wire cages.

This practice is so cruel that it is criminalized in countries all over the world and in several U.S. states. Despite this fact, Viking Cruises continues to support these cage farms in which hens can’t even stretch a single wing. Hens are forced to live virtually their entire lives in a space roughly the size of an iPad.

Most companies are moving away from this practice, including some of Viking Cruise's major competitors. All of the top cruise lines, including Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and even fast food chains such as McDonald’s have made commitments with timelines to phase out cruel cages.

Please sign my petition and let Viking Cruises know that you do not support this kind of extreme animal cruelty with your dining dollars. It’s time for Viking Cruises to do the right thing by producing a timeline to completely eliminate the use of cages in its global egg supply chain.
