The Victorian State Government today (29th July 2021) announced level crossing removal at Warrigal Road and Parkers Road in Parkdale.

Parkdale is a small shopping village with a thriving community.  It does not have adequate space to allow for elevated rail.

A major reason given as part of Tim Richardson discussing the project on Facebook was due to 'timeframes'.

To complete this project properly, it is in the community's best interest to take the time required to go 'rail under road'.

Creating a 'Skyrail' will cause disruption to all residences who live on both Como Parade East and West, as well as casting a permanent shade on Parkdale shops.

We are a small shopping village and do not want a 'Skyrail' in our community.

Ensure that all Parkdale level crossing removals go 'rail under road'.
