Until we got Cyberknife to Australia most foundations either were not aware or were not interested in info regarding Cyberknife. Most have heard of it but didn’t research it as it wasn’t available in Australia even though I was helping people access Cyberknife overseas. I wanted to partner with a foundation such as this to strengthen the possibility and speed in which we could get Cyberknife to Australia. Many brain cancer foundations had the money to install a Cyberknife in a local hospital and I got to pitch at board level with some. However many felt that because Cyberknife treats cancers trough out the body it wasn’t a “brain tumour” device. Japan, which is where Peter Mac and the Vic Govt researched Cyberknife, were using it in numerous hospitals as a brain cancer treatment only. Now they are treating other cancers also. This is what the Vic Govt came back with and wanted to get it installed ASAP. Now some of the people I dealt with over the years are featuring Cyberknife in their guides. Such as this. Although it’s a bit dated indicating only one centre in Australia.
