In 2009 I suggested to the then Victorian Labor Govt to bring State of the art Robotic Cyberknife cancer care to Melbourne. Why? Because I lost my wife and home due to cancer and the costs of obtaining Cyberknife overseas. I have been petitioning since 2006 to get Cyberknife to Australia. When I suggested to the then Victorian Labor Govt to bring Cyberknife to Melbourne they were interested. They visited Cyberknife in use in hospitals in Japan, came back and allocated funds for Australias 1st Cyberknife. They then lost the election and the incoming Liberal Govt withdrew the money for the machine even though construction of the building was well in progress. We are asking The current Premier, Mr Andrews, to reinstate the funding to complete the Cyberknife project. Cyberknife is non invasive, treats inoperable cancers, uses no drugs or surgery and has no side effects.
