Hannah Mohammed is one of the 3000 tenants in nine public housing towers who has been placed in an unfair “hard lockdown”, while her premature baby is all alone in a hospital. I have had two premature babies myself, and right now it is vital for the baby to feed on the mother’s milk. It is inhumane to keep them separate. This is why I’m calling on the Victorian government to immediately reunite the mum and baby.

Keeping the mum away from her premature, sick baby is cruel, callous and insensitive. Should the baby’s situation turn critical, it is absolutely necessary for the mother to be there with the child.

The mum should be immediately provided accommodation in an isolated room in the hospital near her baby. Please join me in calling on Daniel Andrews to reunite the mum and her baby. It might be a matter of life and death for the little one.
